No HST due on Barriere Property

I just got off the phone with CRA regarding HST and my Dunn Lake Rd. property for sale. At first, no one could tell me whether HST was to be charged on the sale price of this home. The government advised me that because this home was built with the intention of living in it full time and the fact that it is only 3/4 finshed then it is HST exempt. Who ever buys the home, will have to pay HST on the costs to complete. That is great news as it saves someone 12% on the purchase price.
